| As a senior figure in the Iranian judiciary, Hassan Babaei is an involved person under the Iran (Sanctions) (Human Rights) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 because he has been involved in the commission of serious human rights violations in Iran, namely being responsible for serious violations with respect to the right to a fair trial and the right of individuals not to be subject to torture or cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment. |
